Our Classes:
Preschool Classes are for dancers ages 3 and 4, The class is 45 minutes in length, and includes creative movement, ballet, and tap.
Boys Class: For ages 4-6, this 45 minute class is perfect to get him started in dance. Styles taught are Jazz and Tap. Some ballet terms will be taught within the Jazz part of class.
Combination Classes are for the younger dancer, ages 4-6, and are available in three levels. Approximately twenty minutes each will be spent on ballet, jazz, and tap, for a total of one hour.
Ballet Technique Classes: Dancers will learn terminology, discipline, and grace. Barre work, across the floor work, and combinations will be included.
Jazz Technique Classes: Several styles of jazz may be covered including lyrical, musical theater, and high-energy. Turns and jumps will also be incorporated.
Tap Technique Classes: Tap classes will concentrate on rhythms and sounds. Dancers will learn a variety of combination steps.
Hip Hop Technique Classes are also offered. Hip Hop dancing focuses on sharp, fast-paced movements and isolations.
Turns and Jumps Technique Classes are offered in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Focuses in this class are just that, turns and jumps! Dancers will feel more confident with these aspects of dance that are normally included in Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet dances.
Modern Technique Class: The style of modern concentrates on where movement comes from. Ideas and stories stem into creative movement for dancers.
Floor Barre Technique Class is also offered. Many strengthening and stretching exercises are taught to help form a dancers body and technique.
Musical Theater Technique Class: This class is perfect for actors in the area as well as dancers. The instructor has a lot of background knowledge and is able to teach students singing, dancing, and acting skills that will benefit them in any performance type.
Intro Classes: For dancers ages 10-12 and 13-15, these hour long classes are a wonderful way for new dancers to be with kids their own age as they learn the basics of dance. Hip Hop, Jazz, and Ballet will be covered.
