Currently we feature our special in-office lasik suite which is a great convenience to our patients. All pre-op testing and follow-up is in our office and under my direct supervision. We utilize the VISX S-4 the most commonly used laser in the U.S. Refractive Surgery We perform limbal relaxing incisions (a safe form of atigmatic keratotomy) in our in-office operating room. This simple procedure improves uncorrected vision by correcting astigmatism. We also perform this procedure very frequently during cataract surgery to further improve vision without glasses. Medicare does not cover this procedure but we believe strongly in the benefits of this procedure and have priced it within everyone`s reach. At the same time, it may permit a less intensive level of therapy minimizing side effects and saving your money yet equally effective in preserving your vision. We use state-of-the-art Nerve Fiber Layer testing as well as Humphrey visual field testing (the U.S. standard), corneal thickness measurements since the year 2000, and stereo optic nerve photography since 1983 for the most accurate glaucoma evaluation and treatment.
